  Dear colleague,

  Maybe you have been already informed about our research project in
which we analyze the academic culture of our region, the CEE. As a
result of our first call, hundreds of colleagues filled our short
questionnaire. For that, we are unspeakably grateful! However, there is
still a large amount of missing data, so we are kindly invite you to
fill the questionnaire, if you hadn’t been the chance yet. If you have
already filled the form, then thank you so much for your valuable
contribution, and please disregard the following lines.

  Dear colleague,

  as a principal investigator of the  Eastern European research “ The
academic culture of  CEE scholars in social sciences” funded by the
Hungarian Academy of Sciences, I would like to cordially invite you to
contribute the project by filling this short questionnaire. In this
research project we analyze the career paths, career prospects and
academic culture of Eastern European scholars in social sciences. A very
important part of our mixed-methods analysis is to investigate the
familiar backgrounds, education trajectories and career plans of
scholars working at this region. We are very indebted to you for
contributing in this phase. I am convinced that, with your generous
help, we will be able to raise the international visibility of our
region and to reduce at least some of the biases that still exist in the
world-system of knowledge production and causes a lot of disadvantages
to Eastern European scholars, especially in social sciences. Please find
